I never go to sam's because I can get all that stuff for much less at the grocery store, BUT I had to get items for concession at Upward on Saturday so off I went with the church Sam's card and a check. After a stop at the food court for pizza and pretzels we went in search of goodies and found lots. The one thing I was disappointed in was the candy bars. They were like .50 per piece so not a great deal and not worth buying to sell. I did leave with a full cart though, I just need a few more things and I will be all set!
Walmart in Grand Blanc is so huge!! I did go get the capri sun for $1 since I was at Sam's right next door. I also found quaker mini packs (6 pk) for $1 marked down from $2.32. I got white chocolate drizzle and caramel. Pretty good deal for a 6 pk I thought.

Walmart, I love you......sometimes
Today I went to walmart in search of the capri sun drinks for $1 and my walmart in burton did not have them!!! Darn it, is it worth the drive to GB....don't know yet, I do have snack for 3 soccer teams this week. Anyway, I did get 2 boxes Mac and cheese crackers $1 ea, 2 boxes crunch and munch $1 ea, and 6 boxes duncan hines cake mix. 96 ea. I had $1/2 coupon for crunch and munch and mac and cheese crackers and 2 $1/3 cake mix. So I paid and my total was $6.96-not bad-BUT the cake mix ran up $1.16, so I marched myself to the service desk and got my scanner error reward (1 per kind of cake mix=2 rewards). I got back $5.20 so my total for 10 things was $1.76. Not to shabby.
Any update on the Vive shampoo at Kroger-BOGO this week and the reg. price for 1 is $3.27. so if you use 2 $1 coupons you can get overage on this one! Yippee, but you can only buy 2 to get the overage because only 3 coupons will double.

Boring......
I bought 2 Lapeer county press papers and a Flint journal and am VERY disappointed!! The Lapeer said $215 worth of coupons and had 1 insert each, what is the deal with that???? Also, the journal had 2 but nothing very exciting and was missing most of the ads. Got them all at the Marathon in goodrich, don't know if it was their fault or the company. Anyway, I did see the Kmart ad online yesterday and made a plan. Triples to .75 and double from .76-$4 INCREDIBLE, I used to get excited about doubles to $2 but I was REALLY excited about $4 doubles. So this is what I bought:
1 sally hanson tweezers 1.99-$1c=FREE
1 nivea lip mosturizer $2.49 - $1c=.49
2 intuition razors $8.59-$4c=.59 ea
4 quattro razors 3pk $6-$4c=FREE
4 kotex 1.29-.75c=FREE
3 indoor temptations cat treats 1.89 -$1c=FREE
1 All small and mighty 4.79-$2 IP c=.79
1 glade sense and spray refill 1.50-$1c=FREE
3 airwick I motion 4.99-$4c=FREE
1 glade sense and spray 8.79=$4c= .79
1 Acne care kit 19.99-$3c=13.99 BUT should have been 25% off too so need to go back and check this one out-store version of ProActive
6 packs Stride gum $1-$2/3 c that doubled even though it said no doubling=FREE
2 scott extra soft t.p. 12 double rolls 5.50-.75c=$2.25 ea
2 reese pb eggs cartons .65ea
2 peeps .65 ea
40 ct easter eggs .61
OOP $31.63 paid a lot of tax but still very good for 35 items. I think my total before coupons/sales was $160 something!! Of course they are out of everything. With a sale like this they will be.
I will be looking for good sale match-ups with coupons and posting them tomorrow, but just quickly looking at the ads I didn't see much. It will probably be a very light week for me shopping wise. Kroger does have tyson boneless skinless chicken for 1.88 a pound starting tomorrow and i do consider that a great price so will stick a few of those in the freezer.

Kleenex, tuna fish and swim diapers
Weird huh? Well, this week has been very long and filled with many challenges, no doubt attacks from satan. But we have to look to Christ for everything and keep going. I am taking a deep breath and trying to be positive. So what is with the title up there? Well, our van is not drivable right now and we happen to be out of (I KNOW-goes against EVERYTHING I talked about in class, but God's way of teaching me something) toilet paper ( glad I have a stockpile of Kleenex) cat food, hence the tuna fish :) and diapers; glad I saved those swim diapers from last summer that I bought at a garage sale for .50!! I hope you are smiling as you read this and thanking God for how truly blessed we are. Third world countries have NEVER had toilet paper or diapers....and they would probably eat cats for meat because of the poverty they live in.
Have a blessed day!!

I hate not having the Meijer ad in front of me. I didn't get it this week so I am thrown off a bit.
Kroger has quaker quakes rice snacks for $1 and there was a $1/1 c a few weeks ago, these are on sale through next week. Brut and Sauve deodorant are on sale for $1 each and of course they are out-but the shelf tag says they are on sale through 5/10.
Don't forget about the Kelloggs cereal (big box!) that is $2.18 and with the $1/1 coupon a few weeks ago that is .18 a box!! Eggo waffles are reg. price $1.49 and there was a .75/1 c in the same insert as the Kellogg cereal making the waffles, yup that's right FREE. I will try to keep up with posting what I am buying but I have been so busy this week with Upward that I honestly have not cooked anything all week! I have been using my extra grocery money to eat out (terrible, I know. Goes against EVERYTHING I talked about last class) I just got so behind, and Upward takes up A LOT of time. My new week starts today with my $160 weekly money and even after spending grocery money to eat out I still have over $60 left from last week. I am considering dropping my weekly budget down, and using that extra money to pay off debt. Anyway, we just had to get new tires for the van and new rotors and brake pads, so it is wise to have an emergency fund for things like this, so your eye lids don't start twitching when you find your tire totally flat while you are driving!

Kroger trip this morning
I got tons of stuff this morning for free! I hate actually getting up early, but love it once I am at the store without the kiddos and scoping out the deals. I am glad I always take my coupon box because I found Slim Fast bars on clearance for $2.29 and had $1/1 coupons so those were really cheap. They may be gross, I don't know but I figured I'd try them for .29. Also, Dannon yogurt (crush cup, and light and fit 6pk) was on sale for $2 and I had lots of $1/1 coupons so I got 8 of those free. Also got 12 johnsonville sausage packs for .50 ea and HUGE boxes of Kellogg cereal for .18. Knorr side dishes are 10/10 and there were coupons .75/2 in last Sunday's paper so .50 for 2 is pretty good. I spent about $58.xx and saved $180.xx. I was happy!!

Bueche's Rocks!
I was halfway there after I had to drop Dan off at work so I decided to go for it. Although I was not familiar with the coupon policy, I asked at the service desk. She was not very clear or helpful so I just went though the line, but she did tell me they double up to $1. That means different things to different people, and considering the conversation I already had with her I just thanked her and went on. I had 4 duncan hines cake mixes (all coupons doubled to .70) and 5 kraft dressings. The register took off the whole $1.50 coupon so that was a money maker!
If that is too far Kroger has duncan hines cake mix for $1 so with the .35c that's .30 so still not bad at all!
