Walgreens fun!

Made a quick stop to Walgreens and found some hair color on clearance. Reg price 7.99 marked down to $4 but there was a coupon in the rebate book for $2/1 so I got 2 for $4. It's bright red so don't know who it will end up on :)
Also got a blonde one reg $13.99 marked $7 and had Manufacturer coupon for $5 so got that for $2 also. To round out my purchases I got a jumbo pack of diapers for $4.50 and a bag of clearance candy for the Easter thing at church for $1. Used $8 RR from last week and my total was $3.65. Not to shabby! SO, if you see me or any of my kids with RED hair you now know why!!!

Okay, I think I figured it out!

This is assuming I get there and they have everything in stock. If they don't to make my multiples of 10 I will fill in the gaps with Quaker quakes because they are the cheapest at .49 ea. If you are not familiar with the mega sale at Kroger this is how it works: participating items must be bought in multiples of 10 up to 30. For every 10 items you purchase they will take $5.00 off the end of your bill up to $15.00. The items are mix and match so you don't have to buy 10 of the exact same thing. Check the ad for participating items. This is how mine will break down, and no, I will not do all this in one day at the same Kroger!

Order 1
3 Colgate toothbrushes
3 fruit snacks
3 tylenol
3 johnson and johnson baby products
6 sargento shredded cheese
2 kens salad spritzers

Order 2
Same as above except swap the salad spritzers for salad dressing

Order 3
3 toothbrushes
3 fruit snacks
3 tylenol
3 johnsons
4 cheeses
2 dressings
2 fiber one granola bar packs

order 4
1 toothbrush
1 johnsons
1 tylenol
3 fruit snacks
1 toaster strudel
1 welchs juice
2 kelloggs cereals

That is about $26 total for all that. I will let you know how it goes!

Also look for the quaker instant oatmeal on sale 2/$3. You have to buy 2 for this because the ring up for $2 each and then a $1 comes off at the end. Some boxes are marked that they contain coupons and inside there is a coupon for $1/2 oatmeals making it .50 a box!!

MEIJER
Nothing too exciting but if your kids take chips for lunch they have doritos 1/2 price so about $2 a bag. Also, dinty moore beef stew $1 ea and somewhere I got 6 coupons for .55/1 can so .45 a can is a cheap lunch.

My finds this week

This is a very quick short list because it is LATE and we ran all weekend long so i am tired. I will figure out how it all goes together tomorrow and fill you in. As it stands these are the coupons I bought: 10-colgate toothbrush .75/1, 20 fruit snacks .50/1, 10 tylenol $1/1, 10 johnson and johnson $1/1, 10 M&M,starbust jelly bean $1/2. These all go with the Mega sale at Kroger this week. Like I said, I will tell you how I am going to combine them all tomorrow to maximize the sale and these coupons keeping in mind for the mega sale you have to purchase 10 items and only 3 like coupons will double. This will be an exercise for my mind tomorrow because I have other coupons for other mega items to work in. Should be fun!

Check out the coupons for tomorrow

I thought there were some decent looking coupons in tomorrow's paper, so maybe get a copy or 2. I find them at www.thecouponclippers.com go to tracker and click on the Sunday you want to see. They post Saturday morning for Sunday. We don't always get the same coupons but pretty close.

My later posts have lots of tips so check them out but one thing to remember: Get a Kroger card so you get the sale prices on the shelf!! You will earn points for every dollar you spend and get discounts each month on gas so check the bottom of your receipt.

Don't get overwhelmed! You will catch on and start matching up sales with coupons. It won't be overnight but as you get more coupons build up it will get easier. If you have questions my personal e-mail is kellikrause07@charter.net
