Get the Sunday paper for the coupons. Also ask friends, relatives and neighboors to save theirs if they don't use them.
Clip and sort them asap so you don't miss using any with a sale. If they are all stacked up and you have to dig to find them you probably won't use them-costing you $$$
Make sure the supermarket you shop at doubles coupons. Our kroger doubles to $1.00. Walmart only does face value so I end up getting things cheaper at kroger!
Know the policy on coupons. For example, Kroger doubles only 3 coupons for the same item, the rest are face value. Check the policy on internet coupons too. Most stores take them up to $1.00
Couple ads with coupons and get thing for free. My basement is overflowing with pain reliever, deodorant, shaving cream, soap, paper towels, salad dressings, toothpaste, snacks, and cereal I got for free because I shop the ads and use my coupons. Seriously, I have 60+ toothpastes, 40+ shaving creams, 20+ salad dressing, 40+paper towels, 10+popcorns and on and on..... This is no joke!!
Fuel rewards are available at kroger depending on the points you earn. These points are based on the total before coupons, say you total $60 before coupons and walk out paying $10. You get the 60 points and can earn up to .50 off per gallon of gas saving you big money too!
Get the ad out as soon as you get it and go over it. If there are things you would like to stock up on get on ebay and check if anyone is selling coupons. Make sure if you buy them you will get them in time to use them before the sale is over. Try also to pick a seller close to your state so the mail doesn't take 6 days to get to you.
Use the internet as a source of free coupons. Many sites let you print off a coupon or 2 per item for free.
Don't be so loyal to one store. If something is on sale at another store check it out, or ask your store to match the ad price.
If a sale item is out of stock, get a rain check everytime!! You never know when you will get more coupons for that item also.
It does take time to collect coupons, go over ads and such. However I save at least 60% off my bill every week.
Buying at a warehouse club isn't always a deal! I find I can get everything cheaper at the grocery store with a sale and coupon.
check out mealbox.meijer.com for coupons at meijer. click specials and you can print as many as you want.
